Let us know thereason behind this....one of the reason is God is
everywhere and another one is in all the eight sides
the ashta thik palakarghal are there on those particular sides.
The sides and the palakarghal are as follows:
East --------------> Sri Indriran;Sri Indirani
(Lord muruga's Father-in-law & Mother-in-law,
devayanai's father and mother)
South east--------> Sri Agni;Sri Swaga;Sri Swatha
South---------------> Sri Yaman;Sri Shymala alias Neela
South west---------> Sri Nirruthi;Sri Dheerka or Dheergiga
West-----------------> Sri Varunan;Sri Kaligadevi [water]
North west----------> Sri Vayu;Sri Anjanadevi [Air]
North----------------> Sri Guberar/Soman;Sri Chitralekha
North east-----------> Sri Eesanam;Sri Parvathi devi
we are praying indirectly these Gods Around the temple.

when I read in the newspaper that most people doesn't know the reason for doing pradhaksanam ....then I enquire and know the reason and just shared here..
